KSBY’s community reporter Ashley Stevens visited Design’s School of Cosmetology in Paso Robles to share how our students and staff support the Cancer Support Community of the Central Coast in Templeton.
The story covers our “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink” shirts, which students buy to raise money for the center, and Cancer Support Wednesdays: every Wednesday, cancer patients receive free services in our student salon, and half of the day’s salon earnings is donated to the Cancer Support Community of the Central Coast in Templeton. Students shared why being part of it matters to them, and how the salon gives clients a safe, welcoming place to feel good about themselves.
